Pilot clinical trial to compare the safety and efficacy of Whole Ayurveda intervention against standard allopathic treatment for Rheumatoid Arthritis. Study done in collaboration between University of Washington, Seattle and The Ayurvedic Trust in association with University of California. Los Angeles between 2003 and 2008. The outcomes of this study has been published in Annals of Rheumatic Diseases and presented at Annual Scientific Meeting of the American College of Rheumatology.

The entire collection of the medical manuscripts of Calicut University Library has been digitized between 2007 and 2009.
First Phase of Center of Excellence Grant from Dept. of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India
The first phase of the Center of Excellence Grant from Dept. of AYUSH to upgrade into a Clinical Research Hospital specialized in Rheumatology has been successfully completed. A new out patient department with advanced facilities for clinical documentation has been set up in the first phase in the year 2010 apart from CME programs, launch of research journal and such other activities.
