CLINICAL LABORATORY
AVTAR manages a full fledged clinical laboratory for meticulously monitoring the clinical outcomes of treatments given at the hospital. This lab has facilities for conducting basic laboratory investigations like hematology and biochemistry. A sample collection center has also been set up near the out patient department for convenient collection of samples for testing. The clinical laboratory is in the process of being upgraded and it is being monitored by BIORAD for quality and standards. Qualified lab technicians are appointed in the laboratory and the activities are being directly scrutinized by the senior research faculty of AVTAR. The clinical lab is integrated with the RUDRA clinical documentation software modules so that the physicians can communicate with the laboratory and pull out the data in patient case files.
DRUG LABORATORY
AVTAR has set up a drug lab to work on standardization and quality control of Ayurvedic pharmaceutical preparations. The primary focus of the drug lab is quality control of the special medicines that are manufactured at the Ayurvedic Trust Hospital on a day to day basis. The drug lab is analyzing raw drugs as well as finished products for quality, consistency and standards. The drug lab has HPLC as well as other equipments for basic analytical procedures. The drug lab is in the process of being expanded to develop facilities for conducting advanced experiments and analysis.
